  • APAR: Authorized Program Analysis Report, a process to collect diagnostic data.
  • DST: Dedicated Service Tools.
  • IPL: Initial Program Load, which loads the program from disk, tape, and diskette. This operation can be performed manually, remotely, timed, or as a restart.
  • PTF: Program Temporary Fix.
  • RPG II: Programming language for System/36.
  • SSP: Operating system for System/36 which is run on the Advanced 36 9402 Model 236 system.
