ezHITConfig: Software Verification

<h2 id=“initialize-product-product-branding-defaulting”>Initialize Product (Product Branding &amp; Defaulting)</h2> <h3 id=“custom-ite”>Custom ITE</h3> <p><strong>For Programmables:</strong></p> <ol> <li>Open ezHITConfig application.</li> <li>Read the hearing aid and chose the correct style and model.</li> <li>Verify all other features are enabled that have been ordered.</li> <li>Enter the serial number.</li> <li>Save.</li> </ol> <p><strong>For Repairs or Recases:</strong></p> <ol> <li>Open the appropriate software where the settings have been saved.</li> <li>Read the instrument.</li> <li>Import saved setting.</li> <li>Save.</li> </ol> <hr /> <h3 id=“stock-bte”>Stock / BTE</h3> <p><strong>For Programmables:</strong></p> <ol> <li>Connect the device to the correct programming cable (gray 4x cable or black 5x cable).</li> <li>Open ezHITConfig application.</li> <li>Read/connect to the device.</li> <li>Select the correct model and style.</li> <li>Enter the Serial Number of the device.</li> <li>Click on 'Ship Defaults' button.</li> <li>Save.</li> </ol> <hr /> <h3 id=“ansi-testing”>ANSI Testing</h3> <p><strong>For Programmable Hearing Aid:</strong></p> <ol> <li>Open ezHITConfig application and select “BUILD”. <ul> <li>Click the “CONNECT” button.</li> <li>Select the appropriate company, product, style and serial number for the hearing aid.</li> <li>Verify the options shown are correct or make adjustments as needed.</li> <li>Click “SAVE” once all fields are correct.</li> </ul> </li> <li>Click “TEST” button at the top of the screen. You should still be connected to the instrument. If you are not, click the “CONNECT” button. Then, under the “Test Setup” tab: <ul> <li>Verify the model and style is correct.</li> <li>Input the Owner name by typing the last name, first initial.</li> <li>Verify the serial number and the side.</li> <li>Verify the Instrument Type and Instrument Settings.</li> </ul> </li> <li>Once all information is correct click “START TEST” button to start the test. <ul> <li>Once the test is complete, compare results in the “TEST RESULTS” tab to the QC Response specifications.</li> <li>If the hearing aid has acceptable results, print 2 copies of the Test Report by clicking the “PRINT” button.</li> <li>If the hearing aid does not meet specifications, complete the rework section of the picking ticket and send to the appropriate department.</li> </ul> </li> </ol> <p><strong>For Non-Programmable Hearing Aid:</strong></p> <ol> <li>Open ezHITConfig application.</li> <li>Click the “TEST” button on the main screen. <ul> <li>Choose the model and style of the hearing aid you are testing from the drop down boxes.</li> <li>Input the Owner name by typing the last name, first initial.</li> <li>Input the serial number and choose the correct side.</li> <li>Verify the Instrument Type and Instrument Settings.</li> </ul> </li> <li>Once all information is correct click “START TEST” button to start the test. <ul> <li>Once the test is complete, compare results in the “TEST RESULTS” tab to the QC Response specifications.</li> <li>If the hearing aid has acceptable results, print 2 copies of the Test Report by clicking the “PRINT” button.</li> <li>If the hearing aid does not meet specifications, complete the rework section of the picking ticket and send to the appropriate department.</li> </ul> </li> </ol> <hr />
