Serial numbers for all products are 8 characters long (alphanumeric).
  * RITE / BTE product serial numbers do not have special coding (format ''99999999''). E.g.: ''88257320''
  * Custom product serial numbers will begin with a ''B'' followed by two digits designating the year of manufacture (format ''BYY99999''). E.g.: ''B1700256''
